"After over 40 years connected with the Recorder, today is my last day on the Sports Desk. My job is now redundant and I have to go. I am joining the news subs for a few weeks but then it will be time to go #endofanera"

at away games when we were expected to get a tonking you'd see all the camera men crowded behind our goal and waddling on his own up to the other end was big stevie bacon. needless to say he rarely used much film on those occasions.
